1/2 Day Main Payette Experience
Our trip will start by having you meet us at Beehive Bend which is located just a few minutes north of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho along Highway 55. There is an outhouse and a location to change here at the takeout but we do recommend being dressed for your river trip upon arrival. Once we give you a parking pass and confirm that all necessary paperwork is taken care of, we will all load up on our shuttle bus and enjoy a nice 10 minute drive north along Highway 55 to our put-in located at Banks. While driving to Banks, one of our guides will point out some of the major rapids that we will be going down and maybe even tell a bad joke or two. Once we arrive at our destination, our guides will help get you sized up with the necessary equipment. We provide PFDs for adults and youth that we will require you to have on and buckled at all times. We also will hand out paddles and if the weather requires, wetsuits and/or splash gear. Each guide will also have a small dry bag with them in the raft that can hold cameras, sunscreen, or even a few snacks. After everyone is geared up, we will go over a quick but thorough safety discussion before putting on the water. As soon as we put our raft in the water, we through a few paddle commands and techniques that will help us get our raft through the rapids ahead.
Then comes the best part…
The rafting!
Throughout the 3 hour trip, we will go over multiple Class II and Class III rapids such as Go Left Or You’re Fired, Bennett's Rock, Mike’s Hole, Mixmaster, and last but definitely not least, Adios My Friend… Otherwise known as AMF. See what we did there? In between the rapids includes a lot of time for swimming or water games!
After the last major rapid, there is one last calm section before we reach our takeout. At this point, your group will have rafted 10 miles! At Beehive Bend, we will meet back up with our shuttle and your vehicle. We are offering complimentary videos and photos at this time so we will make sure all of your contact information is correct so we can send those to you once we are in service.
